Time-window passes
Flash, Burst and Sprint passes bought from prepaid credits — no Stripe Checkout confirmation.
Passes give short access windows to a paid Actor without a monthly rental. They are designed for API and agent use: purchase is a synchronous credit debit, not a Stripe Checkout redirect. The MCP server buys the fare-capped quote automatically when call-actor hits 402 rental-required.
Tiers
| Tier | Window | Price field |
|---|---|---|
| Flash | 1 hour | flash_price_cents |
| Burst | 24 hours | burst_price_cents |
| Sprint | 7 days | sprint_price_cents |
| Monthly (cap) | 30 days | monthly_price_cents |
Publishers set any subset of short tiers; prices must increase with duration. Fare capping limits how much you pay inside rolling windows.
Buy with the API
# Inspect offer and fare-capped quotes
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN" \
https://bytewells.com/api/v2/store/{username}/{actorName}/passes
# Buy (debits prepaid credits)
curl -X POST -H "Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"consentToShareContact":true,"tier":"FLASH"}' \
https://bytewells.com/api/v2/store/{username}/{actorName}/passesRequirements:
- Enough prepaid credits (same balance as compute).
- Publisher must be payable (Stripe Connect transfers active); otherwise
409 publisher-not-payable. - Body must include
consentToShareContact: true(developer can see your name and email).
There is no card confirmation step. Top up credits first if the balance is too low (402 insufficient-credits).
Auto-purchase on run start
Opt in once:
curl -X PUT -H "Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"autoPurchase":true,"consentToShareContact":true}' \
https://bytewells.com/api/v2/me/pass-settingsWhen a run would otherwise get 402 rental-required and the listing offers passes, the platform buys a fare-capped pass (not available to run-scoped tokens). Explicit POST …/passes still works anytime.
How developers get paid
Pass charges debit your credits immediately. Only purchased credit can pay for a pass; the promotional sign-up credit is compute-only. Bytewells records the publisher’s net (after commission and card processing costs) in their earnings ledger, and pays it in the monthly payout with their rental earnings. See Publishing.
