Your rent funds the Actor
90%* of every rental and pass goes to the developer who maintains the Actor, so they are paid to keep it working and improving. Bytewells keeps 10%.
Compute 25% cheaper
Runs cost $0.15 per compute unit, against $0.20 on Apify Starter and $0.13 on Business. Billed per second from prepaid credit, separately from the rental, with no platform plan required.
One-line migration
Change baseUrl in apify-client. Your inputs, datasets, schedules and downstream code keep working.
Same developer, same support
Actors are published by the developers who built them on Apify, from the same source code. The people you already go to for fixes and support maintain them here.
What you pay
The developer's monthly price or pass charges, plus the compute your runs use, billed separately from prepaid credit. No per-row charges and no platform subscription. New accounts start with $5 of credit.

Only need it for a day?
Where the developer offers them, Flash (1 hour), Burst (24 hours) and Sprint (7 days) passes sit next to the monthly rental. Pay per use and charges are capped at the next tier's price, all the way up to Monthly. Each window starts at your first use, and everything you already paid in it counts toward the cap.

Machine-readable offers
When an Actor offers passes, a run without access returns a 402 listing the tiers, their prices, a quote for the next use and the endpoints to buy. Agents can pay without a human in the loop.
Predictable spend
Within any window you never pay more than that tier's price. Passes come out of prepaid credit, so the balance is the ceiling.
Scoped by design
Run tokens handed to Actor code never buy passes, so a third-party Actor can't spend your credit on other Actors.
